Founder & CEO
tonya woodward
In 2008, Tonya and her family moved to Hohenwald, Tennessee and opened up the very first Hope Summer Camp. Since then she has designed and developed various programs and outreaches to benefit Lewis County's children, youth, and families. She is a recent MTSU graduate receiving a bachelors of science degree in Integrated Studies with a concentration in Applied Leadership.
"I have been married for 23 years and have 3 children by birth and two by choice. One of my favorite things to do is drive the 84 passenger Hope Bus!"

Program Director and Middle School Class Leader

Christian began Hope in 2008 as a student. After volunteering for two years, she came on staff and has been ever since.
"This will be my 14th summer, and I have loved every minute of it! I have been the drama team leader for five years and middle school leader for four. I plan to be at Hope Hohenwald for as long as I can. It is one of the most important things in my life.

Amanda has been a part of Hope for many years. In the after school program she works with third graders. In the summer she is the backbone of the program!
"When feeding people, I'm in my element. I love kids and seeing them smile and be happy. I'm looking forward to teaching cake decorating skills this summer!"
Amanda is married and has three grown children, three grandchildren, and one on the way!

Kindergarten Class Leader
Haleigh DuPuis
This will be Haleigh's first summer at Hope Hohenwald's summer day camp. We are excited for her to bring her knowledge to our theater department this summer. She has had the opportunity to participate in several small theater productions including Newsies! Other than theater and choir/ensemble, Haleigh will be working primarily with our kindergarten campers.
"I am so excited to work alongside an amazing team this summer. I'm most excited about the theatrical musical. This will be the best summer!"

Kindergarten Class Leader
Sydney Thompson
For several years, Sydney came to Hope every summer as a volunteer. This will be her third year on staff.
"I am excited to work with the kindergarten campers this summer!"

Sydney is a senior at the University of Northern Alabama. She is studying Early Childhood Education. Other than the kindergarten class leader position, Sydney will be our S.T.E.A.M. instructor bringing the love of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math to our campers!
She attends Hohenwald's First United Methodist Church.
First Grade Class Leader
maci dodson
Maci first began working at Hope just out of high school. After a couple of years she married and moved to Montana. Once the military sent her husband and her home, she returned to Hope. She has worked with fifth graders, middle school students, and most recently second graders. She is also a paraprofessional at the Lewis County Schools.
"My heart is children and showing them God's undeniable love and grace."
Maci is married to Chuck and they have two beautiful children, Journey and Isaiah.
She attends Blondy Church of God.
Second Grade Class Leader
simone hodges
Simone began her journey at Hope as a volunteer. Within a couple of years she came on staff. Since then she has worked primarily with elementary and intermediate school students. She is a Paraprofessional in the Special Education Department at the Lewis County High School.
"I am blessed to be at Hope and work with all these wonderful kids. I am looking forward to my 10th summer at Hope!"
She attends The Dwelling Place Church where she is actively involved in teaching children's church.
Third and Fourth Grade Girls Class Leader

Kayley is a 2022 graduate of Lewis County High School. This will be her first summer at Hope. She will be a great asset to the Arts Department because of her extensive experience with dance and stage performance.
"I am excited to be the class leader to the third and fourth grade girls! We are going to have a lot of fun!"

Middle School Class Leader
Caden Anderson
Caden is a 2022 graduate of Lewis County High School. This will be his first summer with Hope Hohenwald. He was on the basketball team at LCHS and will be a great asset to our athletic department. Caden plans to attend Tennessee Tech in the fall and major in Psychology.
"I'm excited to work at Operation Hope because i love working with kids! Being as young as I still am helps me to understand kids better and gives me the chance to have some fun with them. I can't wait to have a great summer with these kids and also show them the love of Jesus!"

Third and Fourth Grade Boys Class Leader
austin barber
This will be Austin's first summer working with Hope Hohenwald Inc. He has volunteered at many of our outreaches, but we are glad to finally have him on staff. He will be a junior in the fall at LCHS. Austin brings great experience to our program, especially in the area of karate. He is a black belt in WaDoRu. He has had the opportunity to work with kids for many years through the Karate for Christ, Just For Kicks, program. We are looking forward to him being a wonderful example to our third and fourth grade boys.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to work at Hope this summer! I know it is going to be a wonderful time with the campers. I'm looking forward to having an impact on the guys in my class!"

Cole farr
This is Cole's first summer with Hope Hohenwald Inc. He has just completed his junior year at Lewis County High School. He plays baseball and football and will be a great asset to our athletic department.
"I'm excited about getting to know more kids and help them gain a trust in someone who is there for them at all times"

Middle School Class Leader
Mya Woodward
Mya has been a part of Hope since the beginning. For the first ten years, she was a student. When she was only 14 years old she became the dance instructor at Hope Summer Camp. This will be her third year as a class leader.
"One of my passions is theater. I am excited to work in Hope's Fine Arts department and bring a musical performance to this year's End of Summer Celebration! I can't wait to work with the middle school class, dance team, and theater! It's going to be an amazing summer!"
Mya is a 2022 graduate from Zion Christian Academy. She plans to attend Columbia State Community College in the fall and major in criminal justice. She attends The Dwelling Place Church.
Middle School Class Leader
cole woodward
This will be Cole's fourth summer as a class leader at Hope. He began Hope as a Kindergarten student in 2008. Once he entered high school, he became a volunteer and later he came on staff. Cole is 2022 graduate from Columbia State Community College. His major is Business Administration, and he plans to transfer to a four-year institution in the fall.
"I have played soccer for 11 years in a rec league and on a school team. I am looking forward to working in the athletic department at Hope this summer and also with the middle school class!"
Cole is a 2020 graduate of Zion Christian Academy and a 2022 graduate of Columbia State Community College. He will attend Union University in Jackson, Tennessee in the fall and major in business administration.

Junior Program Assistant
Julian "JuJU" Jones
We are excited to welcome Julian "JuJu" Jones back to Hope Hohenwald, but this time as an employee. Julian spent many years with us as a student and camper and we are excited to have him on staff.
"I am excited to have my first job and be introduced into the work world. I'm excited to do fun activities with the kids and be a part of a great team!"
